Hi, my name is Sophie, I originally trained as a Dancer at The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. On graduating in 2009 with a BA(hons) in Dance (Performing Arts) I went on to work with a variety of dance and physical theatre companies, whilst training part time for my fitness qualifications. As a freelance practitioner I have worked for a variety of gyms, health clubs, educational institutes and independent businesses including Fitness First, Virgin Active, Nuffield Health, Physio and Fitness and The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. This work has taken me all over the country, however I am now permanently based in Liverpool.
I am experienced in working with a broad range of clients from the everyday man and woman looking to improve their health and fitness and put a bit of ooomph back in their lives to professional athletes on the Tessa Sanderson Foundation focusing on sport specific strength training and dancers training for their degrees and a professional career.
I enjoy keeping up to date with the latest cutting edge health and fitness research, and I am continually training and adding to my experiences, skills and knowledge by attending classes, courses, workshops, seminars and much more. I often work alongside physiotherapist Deborah Edwards developing my knowledge in anatomy, physiology and biomechanics which hugely interests me.
