    This beginners Pilates class will take you back to basics. I will talk you through each exercise step by step, ensuring you understand the Pilates fundamentals so that each exercise is executed properly. Pilates isn't just about making shapes with your body, there is a deeper connection to be made within the movements which takes time, dedication and practice. The exercises are simple and can be performed by everybody, however, once you learn the Pilates method, the most basic exercise can be made challenging. This would be a great class for the more advanced Pilates student as well. It is always good to go back to the basics and nail your technique.     20 MIN FLOOR BARRE | Modern Dance, Ballet, Pilates Fusion

    This 20 min floor barre fuses Martha Graham’s modern dance exercises with classical ballet and the classical Pilates repertoire for an artistic and challenging workout. The challenge is to make moves that demand a deep strength and control look effortless and graceful. A ballet barre is typically done standing at the barre, however many of the exercises can be adapted to being floor based, which is why it is called a floor barre. This makes the exercises more accessible and is often done by dancers so that they can slow things down, use feedback from the floor, challenge their body by working on a different angle, and really focus on attention to detail. It also means you do not have to be an experienced dancer to give these transformative exercises a go. Movement Tips: Move with intention and precision and develop your core strength by finding stability within the body. Don’t forget to find your flow and express the artist within.
